The first LaserKube for Champagnes Marcel vautrain

Maison Vautrain is an estate that was founded in the early 1900s. The MARCEL VAUTRAIN Champagne vineyard covers 3 hectares. The parcels are all located close to the estate in the villages of Hautvillers, Dizy, Aÿ and Champillon, all of which are classified Premier Cru or Grand Cru.

Personalization

Capsules

For several years now, Maison Vautrain has been personalizing the capsules on its bottles, thanks to the collaboration of several comic strip artists. These screen-printed capsules are a big hit with plaquomusophiles, which is why we create limited series that require laser numbering.

The meeting

Becoming self-sufficient

Until now, the engraving of limited series numbers on the back of the capsules was carried out by an external service provider. Wishing to integrate this skill, we contacted the Coopérative du Syndicat Général des Vignerons (CSGV), who recommended the company NWS-TECH.
This way, we would be autonomous and reactive, without depending on an external service which could take up to 3 weeks.
NWS-TECH proposed the LaserKube, a laser engraving machine which met our needs perfectly.

Easy and practical

LaserKube

Indeed, LaserKube is small, easy to use and inexpensive.
It’s the size of a desktop PC, and easily transportable.
Getting to grips with it was a breeze, after just a few hours’ training from NWS-TECH.
NWS-TECH has designed fixtures adapted to our capsules.
It’s very easy, just open the LaserKube drawer, place the capsules, close the drawer and start engraving. We can engrave 5 pieces at a time in just a few seconds.
Laser technology enables us not only to engrave serial numbers but also, if we wish, logos and even QRcodes for traceability.

Champagne!

An economical, well-designed laser marking machine

Our LaserKube is economical: a service provider charges between 0.20 and 0.30cts to engrave a cap, with a lead time of 15/20 days. In view of the quantities produced in our house (20,000 per year), the machine quickly pays for itself.
We are not dependent on an outside supplier, nor on delivery times. We engrave our capsules whenever we want, according to our availability and, above all, our needs. We can therefore be flexible and reactive, for example, engraving just one piece if necessary, at any time of the day.
