What is the use of posage for marking and engraving?
The fixture holds your part on the LaserKube table during the laser marking process, while guaranteeing the correct focal distance.
Focal length
For laser marking, the beam produced by the fiber source must be focused to concentrate the energy on a reduced surface.
The focal distance is therefore very important.
We recommend ensuring that this distance is maintained to an accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm to guarantee even marking with sufficient energy.
In the case of LaserKube, the focal point of the lens is 58.2 mm from the platen.
The surface of the part to be engraved should therefore be placed 58.2 mm from the LaserKube platen (Figure 18).
